Benefits of Kisan Free Bijli Yojana

Under this scheme, farmers in Uttar Pradesh will receive 420 units every three months. This means they will receive 140 units free every month. Through the free electricity scheme, farmers in Uttar Pradesh can now obtain electricity connections for their tube wells, install meters, complete KYC, and purchase an LED bulb and fan. The primary objective of this scheme is to benefit the state’s 1.3 million farmers. 

Eligibility required for Kisan Free Electricity Scheme

• To apply for the scheme, the applicant must be a native of Uttar Pradesh.
• Only farmers from Uttar Pradesh can apply for this scheme, not from any other state.
• It is mandatory for the applicant to get the meter installed to avail the benefits of the scheme.
• If you use appliances up to 10 horsepower at 140 units/kWh per month, they will be eligible for 100% electricity rebate up to 1045 units/month.

How to apply for Kisan Free Electricity Scheme? 

• First, you  need to register on the official website of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation , a link to which can be found below.
• When you come to the website, you will  have to click on the option of ‘Uttar Pradesh Krishak Vidyut Bill Mafi Yojana’ .
• Now you will have to select the option of ‘Login’ on the opened page.
• On the login page, you will see the ‘Register Here’ button, click on it.
• By doing this a new registration page will open in front of you.
• You will then be asked for information such as the discom’s name, account number, and bill number, which you must fill in carefully.
• After filling all the information, you have to click on ‘Continue’.
• Immediately after this the application form will open in front of you.
• Here you have to fill your personal information carefully.
• After this you will have to upload the required documents.
• After filling all the information you have to click on ‘Submit’.
