Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana 2025: The Bihar government is working continuously to make women financially independent and confident. Under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, special support is being provided to women across the state. As part of this scheme, around 50,000 women will receive ₹10,000 each on 22 September. The main aim is to help women start small businesses and move towards self-employment.
Scheme Launch by the Chief Minister
According to reports, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will officially launch the scheme on 22 September at 11 AM. A program will be held at Gyan Bhawan in Patna, where the Chief Minister will transfer the financial assistance directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through online mode. Many members of Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) are also expected to attend the event.
Events in All 534 Blocks
Special programs related to the scheme will take place in all 534 blocks of the state. Officials from the concerned departments will be present at each location. It is estimated that around 500 women will benefit directly at every block-level event, reaching a total of about 50,000 women across Bihar. Additionally, nearly 200 women will be honored for their contribution and achievements.
Encouraging Women’s Self-Employment
The scheme has been designed to encourage women to step beyond routine household responsibilities and engage in income-generating activities. Women are being motivated to work in areas like tailoring, embroidery, shopkeeping, farming, animal husbandry, and handicrafts. This initiative will not only strengthen women economically but also help improve the financial condition of their families.
Registration Required
Only those women who have completed the online registration can receive the benefits of the scheme. A dedicated portal has been provided for this purpose. Women between 18 and 60 years of age from economically weaker families are eligible. It is important to note that only one woman per family can avail of the financial assistance.
