Important Dates

The Department of Education, Chandigarh, had issued a short public notice on June 3, 2026, stating that 582 posts of NTT, JBT, TGT, and PGT will be filled by July 31, 2026. The online application process is expected to begin in July or August, and the last date for application will be the last week of August or the first week of September.

Application Fee

For Chandigarh Teacher Vacancy 2026, candidates belonging to OBC and EWS category will be asked to pay ₹500 and SC, ST and PWD category candidates will be asked to pay ₹100. This is a tentative fee payment. After the official notification, it will be known accurately how much application fee will be charged from which category. • Salary For TGT Vacancy: Level-7 (Basic Pay ₹44,900) as per 7th Pay Commission.
• Salary For PGT Vacancy:Level-8(Basic Pay ₹47,600) as per 7th Pay Commission .

Qualification

• NTT (Nursery Teacher Training):- 12th Pass with minimum 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education (DECEd) or B.Ed. (Nursery) from a recognized Institution.
• JBT (Junior Basic Training / Primary Teacher:- Graduation and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed / JBT)+CTET
• TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher):- Graduation with B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree from a recognized University+ CTET Paper-II is mandatory.
• PGT (Post Graduate Teacher / Lecturer):- Post Graduation with B.Ed. degree +CTET
